Back to my first love: purple

Growing up, I LOVED purple. I made sure everything I had had some sort of purple in it. I think it was from reading the Sweet Valley Twins books. I wanted to be part of the unicorn club. Nevermind that they were little "b" words. I wanted to be them. Their color was purple and so Ruth's color became purple. I never was a pink girl, it was purple all the way. However, a couple years ago, I started straying from purple. I started liking white, greens, yellows...summery colors. Figured that that color would go well on me with a tan, looked fresh as file folders and various office supplies and looked more grown up.

Then today I got the long awaited seejanework.com email. Their desk of their month...you guessed it purple. I loved it. Love.everything.on.that.desk. Although I don't need half the things on that desk or wouldn't pay that much for those things on that desk, I can swoon and trawl TJ Maxx homegoods for the exact same stuff at 1/3 the price :) Makes it more exciting.
